POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a professional position responsible for assisting with the development, organization,
coordination, implementation, and maintenance of an accredited Paramedic/Advanced Emergency
Medical Technician (AEMT) program within the Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services
organization. This position is responsible for administrative, professional, and instructional work. This
position assists with ensuring that the medical and clinical “standards of care” are developed and
maintained through instruction, training, and continuous education of our employees. Additionally, this
position assists with ensuring that the training standards of Cherokee County Fire & Emergency
Services, State of Georgia and Federal regulatory agencies are met. Work is performed under the
general supervision of the Training Division Chief and at the direction of the fire department Medical
Director, EMS Chief and Paramedic Program Director.
This position will also assist in the overall operation and outcome of the course including conducting
and presenting classroom/laboratory instruction, oversight of clinical activities, administrative duties,
and liaison activities between the department and the program, and the program and representatives of
the health care industry.
